“We had a lovely stay at the cottage and absolutely loved seeing the deer roaming around right near us.”

The facilities were great, and a huge thank you for the loungers—with the beautiful weather, we definitely made good use of them! There was some building work going on next door, but we were out enjoying the forest all day so it didn't bother us at all. Overall, it was just a lovely getaway.

“Such a great spot if you want to explore the Forest.”

The cottage is super clean and has everything you need. The added addition of deer at your front door makes for wonderful company. It feels safe and is in distance of the campsite and polo club, which you wouldn’t know was there as it was so quiet. Definitely would recommend and stay again. Welcome milk and drinks was a lovely touch.

“What a lovely cottage.”

It was comfortable and well equipped. Always nice to have books and games etc there. Only small point might be a couple of comfortable garden chairs or loungers so better use of the great garden could be made. It’s perfect for walkers and cyclists being right next to access to the forest. Maybe not for anyone who wants to walk out to a pub or shop as they are a good 30min walk away. Another small point was the hotel did not accept the discount mentioned in the welcome pack so we were unable to use those facilities which would have been nice in the hot weather we got. Would highly recommend this cottage and look forward to the neighbouring cottages coming on stream as they would be ideal for a family get away.

“Unfortunately we did not feel that the cottage was correctly described with regards to location, as it is not actually in Brockenhurst or in fact Lyndhurst, it was in between and felt a car was required every time you wanted to go anywhere!”

! The cottage itself was not what we were expecting, it certainly did not feel cosy and felt that it could do with a general update. The kitchen appliances were adequate but not of a very good quality, paying the amount of money we did, we expected better quality. The bed was so uncomfortable and the ambiance of the cottage was such that we only stayed one night!! Initially we had planned to stay at the cottage for Bank Holiday Monday and sit in the garden but the garden furniture was so basic (4 dining chairs and a table) that we felt we could not sit there all day. I believe the photograph on your website showed different chairs! A bbq would have been nice! Also the property adjacent was being renovated so constant drilling and banging during the day did not make for a particularly quiet and relaxing break! Thank you

We travelled from Nottingham so we were quite relieved that everything was supplied for the kitchen and we only needed the food we had brought with us. The scrabble kept our granddaughter busy all evening so we were very happy. I would recommend this property it is well situated for exploring the New Forest.

We loved the location with the New Forest and how close to main centers it was. We all found the mattresses uncomfortable from the first night, which for the whole trip was pretty awful. And the TV is a real problem - no real channels and poor reception. To give a bronze award means they should have actually stayed there.

Spotlessly clean and the most generous and lovely gift pack on arrival that I have had. Very comfortable and cosy for me and my dog (German Shepherd), who also had towels, bowls and poo bags left for her. Fabulous quiet location, with beautiful walks right on the doorstep, with deer passing by the window in the morning and evening. Could not have wished for anything more.

We found everything we could possibly need was there. A very convenient but quiet location. We loved the visits from the deer. The only thing I would have liked would be some sort of grab rail at the top of the stairs to make the last three triangular steps a bit safer.

Starting with the milk in the fridge for a cup of tea on arrival, but more generally everything was appropriately thought of (be that spare USB chargers in a drawer, knives in the kitchen actually being sharp, the set of cooking utensils and extras actually making sense). Much more so than in other places we have stayed. Thanks!

Quiet, peaceful and many beautiful walks from outside the front door. Heating system kept the cottage warm and cosy and plentiful hot water. Parking very convenient. Good sized enclosed front and rear gardens. Excellent overall and we will definitely return to this cottage.

“The cottage is in a great location, with excellent walks from the door.”

Decor is fresh and clean. Heating is very efficient and plenty of hot water. The cottage is well stocked and the bedding and towels are good quality. The garden is fully enclosed and very dog friendly. The welcome pack was very generous. Overall, we were very happy and considered the cottage very good value for money. Minor suggested Improvements: Draining board, bread board, hose pipe, coat hooks and boot rack by the back door. The twin beds pushed together to make a double is a good idea for versatility, however the beds are a different height and when pushed together make for a very uneven dbl bed. Would highly recommend and would return.

Owner very helpful before hand with advice about cot. Well resourced with the exception of plates and cutlery for toddlers(no worries as we had taken ours). Another recycling bag would have enabled us to sort rubbish more “greenly”! Thoroughly recommend

I can not find fault with anything and only suggestion would benefit from an extension to hand rail at top/turn of stairs. Also a couple of comfy garden chairs would get thumbs up! On last evening we lit the wood burner and it was brilliant - Quin loved it too! Did a lot of walks from cottage- the forest literally on our doorstep. Welcoming pack probably best I have ever had and flowers were a lovely touch. Parking was perfect and apart from traffic to and from camp site it was a very safe and peaceful area. Mentioning the camp site I can honestly say its existence was hardly seen or heard. I really hope to return and share this wonderful cottage with other members of family and friends.

Appreciated all the clean towels etc. Only a couple of small things, in your advert online, it shows comfortable garden furniture but when we arrived, it was just a wooden picnic bench/ table. So we never got to enjoy the lovely big garden, as wasn’t anything comfortable to sit out there, despite the beautiful weather! “This is a lovely clean and comfortable property and we felt relaxed and at home straight away.”

We had everything we needed and it was all in good working order. We would happily stay here again, as a family or with friends. The only addition that we would welcome is some garden chairs or loungers for the lawn area so you can sit back and enjoy the surroundings. The picnic table is fine for eating meals or a morning coffee but there was nothing to relax on to read or sunbathe or just enjoy the birds and bats. Or doze, if you’re like my husband!

One small issue the photos show comfortable outside seating in the garden but these had been replaced with picnic bench could do with more comfortable chairs. “This is a lovely cottage in an amazing spot.”

A couple of minutes walk and you are in the New Forest with lots of options for walking and the most beautiful river. We all loved it but my children thought it was particularly magical and wanted to visit the river every day. Great towns and restaurants nearby. There was the added bonus of a pizza van on the campsite opposite which was very helpful for our arrival dinner! We had a fantastic stay and would return.

We have always loved the New Forest but have stayed further north previously but this is a perfect place to use as a base. Would book again.

We had a sublime week, helped by the beautiful weather. Having access to the garden and being able to walk straight out into the forest was such a bonus, and seeing the deers everyday was just lovely. My only request would be for a non slip mat for the downstairs shower. The base was very slippery. Sorry I meant to leave a note but forgot. I did leave a note about the long horned beetles which hatched out the firewood...one afternoon we had 20 flying around the lounge. Resolved by popping the logs into the garden. We don’t mind bugs but some might not like it.

To wake up on a morning and look out of the window to see deer, squirrels and ponies is fantastic. It is only a short walk and you are into the forest. Highly recommend this cottage.

“The area surrounding the cottage is beautiful and serene!”

The garden is large and great for children. There was a slight oil/kerosene smell in the the downstairs bathroom, which was stronger in the mornings and although bearable, was also a little off-putting. The cottage is lovely overall, with a large kitchen and bedrooms. It's a warm house and the 2 fans were needed. Amazing walks among the wild horses, cattle and reindeer. We loved our stay and would definitely return

“We has a wonderful week at New Park Farm Cottage.”

Everything was thought of in this cosy and immaculate cottage. There was an amazing welcome hamper on the table when we arrived and the house was decorated festively. Being able to step out within yards of the New Forest was a real bonus for the dog. We were rewarded practically daily with a large herd of deer in the empty campsite opposite. We could not fault the cleanliness and facilities in the cottage. Even providing items for the dog. The only thing I would suggest would be to have a small 5 litre green compost caddy outside in which to put the dog poo bags until rubbish day. We managed to get a booking at The Pig restaurant which we would recommend. So close to many interesting villages and towns A lovely spot and we will be back.

The owners really had thought of everything to ensure that we had a relaxed and comfortable stay. We had a lovely Easter break with the family and our dog and especially enjoyed being able to walk from the cottage into the New Forest and Brockenhurst. The weather was perfect (hottest Easter on record apparently!) so we celebrated our silver wedding anniversary and Easter Sunday, with a home-made Afternoon Tea in the large enclosed garden. I'm sure we will be back.

Very quiet and peaceful. Close to Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Lovely thick white towels. We enjoyed sitting by the wood burner and were very pleased to get a second basket of fuel. A lovely relaxing break in spite of the inclement weather.

New Park Farm Cottage is a delightful retreat situated in the village of Brockenhurst in Hampshire.

Hosting three bedrooms; two double, and a single, along with a bathroom this property can sleep up to five people.

Inside you will also find a kitchen/diner, utility, and a sitting room with woodburner.

To the outside is off road parking and a garden with patio and a lawned area.

Situated in a lovely location with much to admire, New Park Farm Cottage is a memorable retreat in a fabulous part of England. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

About the location

BROCKENHURST

Lyndhurst 3.9 miles; Cadnam 7.5 miles.

Brockenhurst is an attractive village lying just a few miles south of Lyndhurst, perfect for unique strolls, picnics, or sightseeing. The village is well known for a diversity of shops, tearooms, pubs and high quality restaurants, certainly worth a visit. There are also forest tours with wagon and horses, forest walks of varying lengths, suited for all visitors. Every year there is a village fête on the Bank Holiday Monday in August. Brockenhurst is within a few miles of the sea and the heart of the forest is only a few minutes walk away. Cadnam, is within reaching distance, and Lyndhurst is a great place for families to enjoy fresh air and wide open spaces, whilst a short journey from Lyndhurst village centre showcases extensive grasslands with turf kept short by commoners' stock - the ponies, donkeys and cattle that can be seen throughout the area.
