    “I have recently stayed at Holcombe House to celebrate with my family for my 70th birthday celebration,this house was just fantastic,plenty of room space,very well equipped,beautiful gardens,great parking,even a bus route outside into town,great fun games room,for all,lovely welcome pack,I would most certainly stay here again,we all had the most memorable time.”

The property

Enjoying an excellent position in the popular seaside town of Torquay is this wondrous period property dating back to the 1860s, Holcombe House.

Boasting six bedrooms laid out over the main house and a separate annexe, this grand holiday home is ideal for a large family or group wanting to convene in this sunny Devonshire town, being close by to the beach, harbour and all the delightful amenities.

Enter into the long hallway and notice the classic Victorian tiling on the floor straight away, along with the polished wooden floors; discover a snug on the first right containing two sofas and Smart TV, perfect for finding a quiet moment to yourself.

A sun room sits at the front of the house, with the washing machine found in here along with seating.

Gather together in the large sitting room for a family film night, with three large sofas to spread out on and another Smart TV, and you can cosy up in front of the real flame gas fire.

Discover the wonderful dining room next, perfect for a special occasion, with a seat for all twelve guests, high ceilings and a large window, it has an elegant aura in here.

Socialise in the morning around the breakfast table in the kitchen, home to a range of appliances for your convenience including a huge American-style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.

Providing a perfect spot for a family of the group or a couple is the annexe, enter through the internal or external door to find a homely sitting room with a woodburning stove and Smart TV, and a vibrant red fitted kitchen and dining area.

Head up the annexe stairs to find two lovely bedrooms, a twin and an adult bunk room, with both each benefitting from an en-suite shower room.

With an internal door to the main house upstairs too, you can continue onto the landing to find four spacious and stylish super-king-size bedrooms, with one boasting an en-suite bathroom, one with a TV, and another with stunning views over the town and towards the sea, served by the family bathroom.

A wrap around garden provides a fabulous place to enjoy sunny summer afternoons with your loved ones, with a large outdoor dining set on one of the patio areas for some alfresco evening meals, and plenty of lawn space for family games and letting the dog stretch their legs.

Head out to discover the delights of Torquay, learning about the local history in Torquay Museum, getting some great holiday snaps at Torquay's Dinosaur Museum with the life-sized dinosaurs and fun exhibitions and interactive displays, picnicking in the beautiful Princess Gardens, and taking strolls around the picturesque Torquay Marina and Victoria Parade.
