    “The cottage is in a fantastic but rural location within well maintained grounds.”

    There is a fantastic walk on the doorstep to an unspoilt rocky beach at Heddons Mouth. Other popular locations are all a reasonable drive away. The external of the cottage is beautiful and picturesque. The internal of the cottage is in need of some maintenance and deep cleaning in some areas. Particularly the kitchen, utility space and the doors/windows need repair. The hot tub was dirty on arrival and we had to clean it ourselves before use.

    Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the cottage’s setting, grounds, and the wonderful walk to Heddon’s Mouth. I would like to clarify a few points regarding your comments. The hot tub’s chemical balance was checked on the morning of your arrival and all readings were correct. Our groundsman noticed you were draining the tub and offered assistance with the pump, but this was declined. After your departure, the tub was found to have been refilled without chlorine being added, which left it in poor condition. We then fully drained it, replaced the filters, and rebalanced the system. For this reason, we ask guests not to interfere with the tub water, as it impacts safe and hygienic operation. We also have a new cleaning company undertaking changeovers. The property was fully inspected after your departure, cleaned, and no issues were found at that time. In addition, although you arrived on Friday, your message regarding housekeeping concerns did not reach us until Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, this didn’t give us the opportunity to view or remedy any potential issues during your stay. We will continue to monitor standards carefully, but I hope this reassures you that the matters you raised were taken seriously and have been addressed. Property Owner

Trentishoe Coombe is a superb, pet-friendly property resting in Trentishoe, Devon.

Continue on to nearby Combe Martin, where you can enjoy a fun-filled family day out at Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park, while away an afternoon on one of Combe Martin's gorgeous beaches or visit Arlington Court a nearby National Trust property.

Further afield you’ll find Ilfracombe, home to a picturesque harbour, the Ilfracombe Museum, Tunnels Beaches, and a wonderful choice of pubs and restaurants.

In and around Parracombe, encounter acres of heather-clad moorland, wooded valleys and crystalline trout streams and if you are fortunate - red deer and the Exmoor ponies. Capture photographs of where the moor meets the sea. Be inspired by majestic cliffs and rocky coves. Guided Exmoor ranger walks are also available both along the coast and inland. At the point where the Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meet, is where you'll find Combe Martin. This small seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction for locals and visitors alike, and is home to a very popular beach as well its own Dinosaur Park! Follow the 230 hidden steps down to Golden Cove for some spectacular views. Situated on the South West Coast Path, Combe Martin is also home to several dog-friendly pubs and local stores; great for provisions along your journey. If you fancy getting out on the water, book a chartered fishing or wildlife trip, or alternatively hire a kayak and take to the calm waters in the bay.
