“Great location and fantastic views, very peaceful.”
The outside “safe” area for the dogs was somewhat misleading, as the photos showed a huge area of grass, but in fact this was not enclosed. As a result, the dogs had to be kept on leads, as it was boggy at the bottom, there was a large pond, and the dogs could have easily got through to fields where there were sheep.

The shower was very weak and had a small head. The water was difficult to control and not good for children to be left on their own, as the temperature fluctuated from very hot to cold.
The owner phoned us a few days before our stay to warn us that the pool was not up to temperature, but our granddaughter still wanted to go in. It was 24°, but much too cold to be enjoyable, which was a real shame.
I could not contact the owners throughout our stay, as the numbers provided advised they were unobtainable, so I assume the coverage is very bad. Not usually a problem, but when you do need to speak with them or Sykes, it is very annoying, so we left a note when we departed.
We enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas and beaches, it is a beautiful part of our country and the cottage is well situated for this.
