    “Higher Norton Barn was a lovely place to stay.”

    Property was very well-presented and we met the owner on arrival. He was friendly and pleasant. He had left some milk, butter, eggs, tea bags and sugar for arrival as well as some towels and treats for the dog which was a nice touch. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and would recommend.

Ideally situated just over five miles away from Kingsbridge and 11 miles from Dartmouth is the delightful village of Chillington. The village is steeped in rich history dating back to the Saxon era and has an excellent range of amenities for its visitors, including a charming village hall, a playfield ideal for games in the summer months, a modern health centre and a pottery. The beautiful architecture of the Grade II listed Church of St James is one to be admired on your travels. Just a mere few moments away is Slapton Sands, a tourist favourite, with its picturesque cottages overlooking the shores and sandy beaches that run for miles, this brilliant beach is also dog-friendly too.
