    “Our hosts Rob and Lesley are very friendly people and they want to make your stay at the Milk Shed as comfortable as possible, this is a very well equipped very clean and spacious property.”

    The rural setting of the property is peaceful, and has fantastic views from the entrance. We would highly recommend a stay here as we had a lovely time and would visit again. Many thanks Iris and Mike

Converted from a traditional dairy near Plymtree in Devon, The Milk Shed is a charming single-storey retreat ideal for a small family or a couple.

Set within an idyllic rural setting, it offers welcoming accommodation where original character gently meets modern touches.

The open-plan living space is designed for unwinding, with a generous sitting area that invites guests to gather after days spent exploring the countryside.

The kitchen flows naturally into the space, allowing the designated cook to stay part of the conversation while preparing anything from easy lunches to hearty evening feasts.

As night draws in, take your pick between the elegant king-size bedroom or the cool twin room, with a sleek shower room rounding off the interior layout. Well placed for discovering Devon, days out might include visiting the historic market towns of Honiton and Cullompton, both offering plenty to see and do.

The vibrant cathedral city of Exeter is also within easy reach, while the beautiful coastline stretching around Sidmouth and Lyme Regis promises scenic walks, charming seafronts and memorable excursions.

The Milk Shed offers a delightful base for enjoying the many treasures this part of Devon has to offer.

Honiton 8 miles; Tiverton 11 miles; Sidmouth 13 miles.

Plymtree is a delightful village in East Devon with plenty to offer it’s visitors. Lying in the valley of the River Culm the village is surrounded by rolling Devon hills, green wooded valleys and scattered farming villages. Plymtree is home to a local pub, The Blacksmith Arms, along with additional village pubs within two miles serving good food. Also of interest is the community shop, run by volunteers and the historic parish church of St John the Baptist. The church itself dates back to the 14th century and of great interest is the 15th century addition, the painted rood screen. In the churchyard gaze at the ancient Yew Tree, thought to be over 1100 years old and the inspiration for the village’s name. Plymtree is only a short drive from the dramatic 20 mile stretch of Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site. Resorts such as Seaton, Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth are found along this stretch of coastline, and all have plenty to occupy their visitors. An easy drive from Plymtree is the cathedral city of Exeter with plenty of large shops, a wealth of museums, a theatre and many fabulous restaurants. Plymtree is also close to the rugged and unspoilt expanse of Exmoor National Park as well as the tranquil and beautiful Blackdown Hills (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
