The property

18 Manleigh Park is a well-presented lodge set within Manleigh Park in the coastal village of Combe Martin, Devon, offering a relaxing base with views across the surrounding woodland towards the village and the sea beyond.

Positioned on the edge of Exmoor National Park and within walking distance of the sandy, dog-friendly beach, known for its rock pools, this inviting retreat is ideally placed for exploring the North Devon coast, including Croyde, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe.

Well suited to families or groups of friends, it provides a great setting for a seaside break. Step inside to discover a bright open-plan living area, where you can unwind on the comfortable seating after a day out, with an electric fire adding a welcoming touch as you enjoy a film on the TV.

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals, with plenty of space to dine together, or take advantage of warmer weather by stepping out onto the decking to enjoy alfresco dining while taking in the fresh coastal air. When it’s time to rest, freshen up in the shower room before heading to one of three well-presented bedrooms for a good night’s sleep. Guests can also make use of the park’s amenities, including a dog-friendly bar serving drinks and seasonal food, as well as a children’s play area.

Those travelling with dogs can make use of a designated exercise field, with dog towels provided to help after outdoor walks.

A friendly on-site team is available to ensure a welcoming stay. From the lodge, walkers can access the South West Coast Path or explore nearby Hangman Cliffs, known as the highest sea cliffs in England.

Combe Martin offers a sheltered beach ideal for rock pooling, paddling, kayaking and paddleboarding, along with a selection of pubs, cafés, a fish and chip shop and a Co-op for everyday essentials.

Further afield, enjoy days out at Exmoor Zoo or Watermouth Castle, or visit Arlington Court and its National Trust Carriage Museum. Ilfracombe 5 miles; Woolacombe 12 miles; Barnstaple 13 miles.

At the point where the Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meet, is where you'll find Combe Martin. This small seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction to locals and visitors alike. Combe Martin has a very popular beach; the sheltered cove is perfect for rock-pooling and it is a popular paddle boarding bay. The village also boasts its own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park! Combe Martin is home to the historic Earl of Rone festival held in May each year and has an annual carnival in August. This is an ideal base for touring, and discovering the delights of North Devon, with Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple all within easy reach. There are also numerous National Trust properties and gardens waiting to be enjoyed. Surfing at Woolacombe is among the best in the South West, while the South West coastal path passes within a mile. Combe Martin is a great base for enjoying a seaside getaway, with something to keep everybody entertained.
