    “The property was exceptional.”

    It exceeded our expectations if I’m honest. The photos don’t do it justice, the views from the terrace were outstanding and we couldn’t get enough of sitting and watching the boats and Rockfish working day and night. The scenery was always on the move. The proximity to the shops and restaurants is great. The bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely and powerful. On arrival in the kitchen there was biscuits, all the cleaning equipment you could need and a milk in the fridge which was a ...

The scenery was always on the move. The proximity to the shops and restaurants is great. The bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely and powerful. On arrival in the kitchen there was biscuits, all the cleaning equipment you could need and a milk in the fridge which was a nice touch. There are clear instructions about the waste and recycling collections but unfortunately the people that stayed the week before us missed the collection so our pigeon bag and recycling box was full for the week of our stay so just be aware that the collection is early Friday morning so waste must be put out on a Thursday at the latest. But I must say I was sad to leave and leave those views behind. A massive thank you goes out to the owners for letting out the property so we can experience what it has to offer. We will be back!

BRIXHAM

Dartmouth 5 miles; Paignton 6 miles; Torquay 8 miles.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
